Proposed Flights for the 2008 USAPL Maryland State Powerlifting and Bench Press Championships
Please keep in mind that the following flights are tentative and subject to change the day of the meet due to lifters that don't show or move to a different weight class. With that said and based on current meet entries, here are the proposed flights.
Morning Session One ( for all lifts)
Flight 1: all women lifters
Flight 2: men 132, men 148, men 165
Flight 3: men 181
Afternoon Session Two (for Squats and Deadlifts)
Flight 1: men 198, 220
Flight 2: 242, 275, SHW
Afternoon Session Two (for Bench)
Flight 1: men 198, 242
Flight 2: 220
Flight 3: 275, SHW
Update to Session Two Start Time
We have 36 lifters in the morning Session One of which 4 are Bench Only. To play it safe, we are giving Session One an extra hour to complete all lifts. Session Two will start one hour later than originally proposed, starting now at 2:00pm (instead of 1:00pm) and all related times for Session Two move as well (weigh-in's and rules briefing).
Session Two - 198 and above
2nd session weigh-ins 12noon - 1:30pm
2nd session rules briefing 1:30-1:45pm
2nd session lifting starts 2:00pm

Information on Parking for the Novmber 22nd USAPL Maryland State Powerlifting Championships
According to the meet director, Garrett Jacks, the Navy Wrestling Classic is also going on inside Halsey Field house at the same time as this Saturday's powerlifting meet. This means that parking is going to be nonexistent due to the fact that wrestling gets priority over powerlifting (at the Naval Academy, Wrestling is varsity...powerlifting is club). It is advised that people park somewhere down the street from Gate 1, or in downtown Annapolis. The parking situation was discussed with senior leadership at Navy and that was what was advised.
For entry into Gate 1, walking or driving, everyone must have valid identification (driver's license).
Maps and Directions are on this web page:USAPL Maryland
Also, stay tuned for flights. I hope to post that information in a few days (if not sooner).
