The 2008 Viginia Powerlifting Championships is now closed! John Shifflett (meet director) has announced that the 60 lifter limit has been reached.

John Shifflett (VA State Chairman) and Will Morris are the meet directors for this year's Virginia State Powerlifting/Bench Press/Deadlift/Ironman Championships.

John Shifflett has released the following information;

If you are staying at the Best Western in Ruckersville for the Virginia State meet in December you can now get a discount room for the contest at a rate of $79. If you book your room under the USAPL Virginia State block call the hotel direct. 434-985-1855. Deadline in Nov 21 to book the rooms.

Powerlifting Watch: Fantasy Leaderboard

The 2008 Fantasy Leaderboard has been updated. TeamIvanko has surged to first place with 1,605 points. Super purple monkey dishwasher jumps to second scoring 1,320 points. Tower of Power remains in third place with 1,315 points.

The Fantasy season ends on December 7. Upcoming major events include WABDL Worlds, 100% RAW Bench Worlds, WNPF Worlds, WDFPF Worlds, WPC Worlds, IPA Nationals, AAU Single Lift Worlds, and RAW United Worlds.

Be sure to set your team for the coming weekend by Thursday evening at 10 pm Eastern.
