USAPL Maryland: Enhancements to MarylandPowerlifting.com
Will Slade (Web Master) announced the following changes at the USAPL Maryland website:

You may have already found a few new website enhancements to http://www.marylandpowerlifting.com/, but in case you were not aware, here is a list of new features:

1. Records: The records area received a new hopefully easier to use search page to help find records faster. The records database has been updated and includes many new gear records as well as new raw records. The records list is located at:
http://www.marylandpowerlifting.com/recordsList.asp

2. Wilks Points in Results: The Wilks formula which is used to determine the best lifter across all weight classes has been added to the meet results area. The Wilks formula is calculated automatically by a formula using the lift amount, body weight, and a wilks factor. If the body weight was unavailable or not recorded then the max body weight for the weight class was used (example: if you are in the 60 kg weight class and no body weight was recorded, then 60 kg was used in the wilks formula). Wilks points have been included in the meet results area for 3 lift total, bench only, deadlift only, and push pull total.

3. Top 5 of Last 5: This web page now has the Top 5 Wilks points from the last 5 Maryland USAPL meets. It is also divided into Raw Top 5 or Gear Top 5 or both. This page also contains links to more information including a search on a Top 5 lifter to view all their meet results and possible Maryland records. Top 5 of the Last 5 is located at:
http://www.marylandpowerlifting.com/ranking.asp

4. Pictures on Home Page: I am not sure if visitors to MarylandPowerlifting.com realize this or not, but each time you visit MarylandPowerlifting.com's home page, the picture that is displayed is picked at random. Hopefully with a few more pictures to choose from now, there will be more pictures available to randomly display.

5. Deadlift Only and Push Pull Results: The 2007 USAPL Larry Garro meet that was held in August had Deadlift Only and Push Pull (Ironman). These results are now displayed in the meet results area in a more organized way. Before, these results were included in the 3 lift powerlifting area and therefore did not have a correct total. Now these results are organized in their own section of a particular meet's results with proper totals and wilks points. The 2008 USAPL Larry Garro meet is scheduled for August 2, 2008 and will again include deadlift only and push pull along with full powerlifting and bench only.

6. 2008 Navy Open: The 2008 Navy Open is scheduled for February 23, 2008 at the US Naval Academy.

7. Maryland/Mid-Atlantic Forum: It is recommended to all of us to share powerlifting stories, successes, issues, questions, and general discussion on this forum. It is available at:
http://mdpowerlifting.proboards82.com/

If you have any questions about the website, please do not hesitate to contact the webmaster at
