Update: USAPL Maryland State Powerlifting & Open Bench Press Championships
The Maryland State Powerlifting Championships is a closed meet in which only residents of Maryland and Washington, D.C. may compete. Historically, D.C. residents have been represented by the Maryland Chapter of the IPF affiliate in the U.S. Lifters from other states who wish to lift in this event may do so in the Open Bench Press portion of the meet or they can guest lift if they desire to get a full meet in. If you wish to guest lift and plan to participate in the Open Bench Press portion of this meet, contact me (301-875-2544).
Please note that the early deadline for entering this meet is November 3rd. The late deadline is November 17.

Pictures have been posted that were taken at the Powerlifting & Strength Seminar. Pictures were also posted of Matt and Sioux-z's visit as they prepared for the World Powerlifting Championships.

Deadline for the World Bench Press Championships is November 1.
There is a limit for the number of entry forms that will be accepted for the World Powerlifting Championships scheduled for December. Only 40 per day will be accepted. Here is a note from the meet director, Spero Tshontikidis:
Lifters,Anyone who is interested in competing in the Worlds must call me immediately at 321-505-1194 and send in your application. We have been overwhelmed with entries, and will reach the entry limit before the November 3rd deadline. Once we reach the limit, we will no longer accept entries.
ADAU News:
The 2008 schedule of meets is now being posted. The Nationals will be held in Erie, PA on June 28.
The next and last scheduled meet for 2007 is the Coal Country Classic.
APA News:
Meets for 2008 are now being posted. The first meet locally will be the Delaware Open Iron Fest on February 16.
APF News:
Deadline to enter the Xtreme Powerlifting South Carolina Championship Meet is November 3.
Information has been updated for the upcoming WPO Semis and WPC Worlds. (click here)
IPA News:
Deadline to enter the National Powerlifting Championships is November 9. A limit of 65 lifters per day is in effect.

Nov. 3th- “1st Annual Garage Ink Invitational”Stewartstown, PA- November 3. There is no charge to enter this meet. Mail Applications by October 31st, 2007 : Niko Hulslander 6 Church Street, Stewartstown, PA 17363 OR Call 717-779-5622 ASAP!!!
Deadline to enter the American Open is; entries must be post marked by November 5th. No late entries will be accepted after November 22.

For those of you who have been trying to contact me my new number is 304 376 7538. So make sure you all jot that one down the old 2432 number does not exist anymore.
Onto more exciting news the contest on Octover 27th is shaping up to be awesome. The powerlifting portion is looking somewhat light though so if there are late entries out there make sure you get them in ASAP. The strongman portion of the weekend is looking good. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me by cell or email. I am going to extend the entry deadline to this weekend to give everyone a little more time to make a decision.
