Sioux-z has updated her web site to include an account of a recent missions trip to Africa that she and Matt went on with members from their church. She has also included pictures of that trip along with pictures taken while in London and the meet recently held in Brentwood, MD (Summer Classic BP-July 21).

Matt and I recently completed a seventeen day missions trip to east Africa. We joined ten other members from our home church, Capital Christian Fellowship (CCF), and performed missions work in Tanzania. ADAU News:
Results have been posted (pending drug test results) from the Single Lift Nationals that were competed in Erie, PA on August 4. As stated on the ADAU website; "A total of 46 individuals participated, with 87 competitors entered in the 3 seperate championships. Seven different individuals were drug tested, representing 15.2174% of the competitors.These urine tests were sent to Quest Diagnostics in Las Vegas."
Lifters from six states (PA, NY, OH, NJ, GA and MD) competed. From Maryland; Bob Muretta competed in the 242/sub-master bench where he hit 340 lbs and David Cooper competed in the 242/open deadlift where he pulled 700 lbs.
Next up for the ADAU is the Steel City Challenge which will be held in Monroeville, PA on August 25th.
APF/WPC News:

Next up for the APF/WPC is the WPC European PL/BP Cup which will be held in Kursk, Russia August 15th-19th.
IPA News:
From Powerlifting Watch, pre-meet coverage of the IPA Pro-Am set to be competed August 18th-19th in Cincinnati, Ohio.
IPF News:
The IPF has announced that it will "offer for free the video files of the Men's and Women's World Powerlifting Championships 2007 in Soelden, Austria." A donation is requested.
Robert Keller has posted daily reports from the IPF Pan-AMs being held in San Paulo, Brazil; Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 & Day 4. Highlights include; Erin Dickey winning gold as well as successfully completing the testing and becoming a IPF Cat II referee, Priscilla Ribic hit a new world record deadlift with a 252.5kg (556.66 lb) pull and Larry Maile (President, USAPL) went 9 for 9 on his way to capturing gold in the Master's I having only trained for 10 days. At the farewell banquet, Keller also noted; "5 of 8 USA lifters took home best lifter honors. Larry Maile 40+, Bill Sindelar 50+, Bill Helmich 60+ and Priscilla Ribic took home the overall best lifter trophies. Erin Dickey was 1st runner-up in the women’s junior category for overall best lifter. Lance Slaughter was presented our 3rd place team category, in the master’s category, for his sportsmanship and his unselfish contribution to the team."
The next IPF Pan-American Championships will take place during 2009 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
