News Letter 7/9/07

There is less than two weeks to go until the 2007 Summer Bench Press Classic. If your not lifting come out and see some great lifting along with Jen Perry, Disa Hatfield, and Maryland's own Sioux-z Hartwig-Gary as these Team USA members tune-up for the IPF World Championships. Please note that the scheduled meeting of the MSPA has been postponed and will likely be held in conjunction with the USAPL Maryland State Powerlifting Championships on December 8 in Annapolis.

On August 4, the USAPL Larry Garro Memorial will be competed in Baltimore. Deadline for submitting entry forms is July 14.

The USAPL NGB will meet on Friday, July 13. Among items to be considered is the definition (gear or no gear) of raw lifting. Currently, a belt, knee and wrist wraps are allowed.

1) Please send your amendments according IPF-Con. 7.3.6.3 latest 15. August 2007. Please keep in mind, that at this Congress the Constitution and By-Laws can not be changed, except if the Congress decides about amendments with a 2/3-majority. At this Congress in Austria election of IPF officials and Committee Chairmen take place. Please forward your candidates to the General Secretary latest 15. August 2007.- Detlev Albrings

2) Referee registration for 2008-2011 is due by January 1, 2008
Note from Robert Keller; As a kind and gentle reminder, if you're an international referee, in order for you to renew your IPF Category I and II credentials, referees are required to have at the minimum, at least four [4] National or International Powerlifting Championships between 2004 - 2007. Please contact either Bill Clayton or myself, if you have any questions regarding re-certification of your credentials. Bill and I would like to have all of the applications to the referee registrar by October 01, 2007

Dear All,

It is time for referees to re-register before the new period 2008-2011.
Each referee must fill in the “IPF Referee’s Re-registration” form and the national federation must send all forms to the IPF Referee Registrar. The national Federations must be in receipt of forms, not individual referees.
Forms can be loaded down from IPF Referees 2004-2007, click here!
The nation’s/referee will receive the new label when the renewel fee/-s have been payed and the form/-s are in my possession.
