ADAU News:
Notes- 2007 National Meeting. Highlights include:
1.) Executive committee reduced to 9 members, dropping Damian Fronzaglia and Joseph Orengia, Jr.
2.) Modified Conventional system is discontinued with all meets being conducted in rounds.
3.) Sanction fee of $50.00 will be refunded to ALL meet directors when meet is finished and all paper work is completed, including payment for drug tests.
4.) Drug testing is to be increased to a minimum of 10% plus 1 test as the following table:1-10 lifters = 2 tests, 11-20 lifters = 3 tests, 21-30 lifters = 4 tests, 31-40 lifters = 5 tests, 41-50 lifters = 6 tests, etc
5.) Pocket rule book reflecting changes, be made available to all members when purchasing their membership.Mailed applications will get a rule book mailed to them.
6.) New list of prohibited substances to replace old list for ALL meet applications. List is available through the drug test committee and/or the National Ofiice.
7.) American records will be "purged", dropping all records from lifters prior to December 1999, who have not participated in ADAU meets. A study will be made to fill in records made by members at ADAU meets.
8.) National meet directors will get assistance from the ADAU by payment for their first 10 drug tests. Meet directors will be responsible for all test payments after the first 10.
APF News:
Rob Luyando (Rick Hussey Bennefit t-shirts) is selling B.I.G. tee-shirts to raise money to help defray costs of medical bills. Rick was diagnosed with cancer, required surgery and does not hav insurance. He is scheduled to undergo chemo therapy treatments soon.

Invitation to the meeting of the 2007 Congress to be held in Freizeitarena in Soelden, Austria

Reminders:
1) Please send your amendments according IPF-Con. 7.3.6.3 latest 15. August 2007. Please keep in mind, that at this Congress the Constitution and By-Laws can not be changed, except if the Congress decides about amendments with a 2/3-majority. At this Congress in Austria election of IPF officials and Committee Chairmen take place. Please forward your candidates to the General Secretary latest 15. August 2007.- Detlev Albrings
2) Referee registration for 2008-2011 is due by January 1, 2008
Note from Robert Keller; As a kind and gentle reminder, if you're an international referee, in order for you to renew your IPF Category I and II credentials, referees are required to have at the minimum, at least four [4] National or International Powerlifting Championships between 2004 - 2007. Please contact either Bill Clayton or myself, if you have any questions regarding re-certification of your credentials. Bill and I would like to have all of the applications to the referee registrar by October 01, 2007.

From Powerlifitng Watch: NAPF General Secretary Robert Keller has posted the nominations lists (men (pdf) and women (pdf)) for the NAPF North American Regional Powerlifting Championships which will take place June 20-24 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Currently, there are 184 lifters representing 11 countries including Aruba, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Ireland, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, and the United States of America. Nominations are still pending from the Bahamas, Canada, Cayman Islands, and Nicaragua.
