July 21-USAPL Summer Bench Press Classic: An open bench press meet. Lifters may lift raw or equipped. In conjunction to this event, 2007 Women's World team members Jennifer Perry, Disa Hatfield and Sioux-z Hartwig/Gary will be lifting in perhaps their final tune-up before going to Soeldon, Austria to represent the U.S. at the IPF World Powerlifting Championships. Also, a meeting of the MSPA will be held.
August 4-USAPL Larry Garro Memorial Powerlifting Championhips. The meet will include: Full-Lift, Raw Bench, Assisted Bench, Deadlift, & Ironman (Bench+DL Subtotal). Dumbarton Middle School, 300

Lift for the Cure- On Sunday, September 16, 2007 the The Colosseum Gym and Fitness will be hosting the 1st Annual Lift for a Cure: Powerlifting and Bench Press Competition. All proceeds to help benefit the Ulman Cancer fund for Young Adults. This will be an OPEN meet limited to 60 lifters. All weight classes will be honored including a separate Law Enforcement Division (Top Cop Award). This will be an unsanctioned RAW meet (Belt and wraps only. USAPL rules apply.
September 29- Matt and Sioux-z Gary will host a seminar in Lanham,MD. Details will be announced soon.
December 8- Maryland State Powerlifting Championships. Annapolis, MD. Entry forms available sometime in September.

1) Please send your amendments according IPF-Con. 7.3.6.3 latest 15. August 2007. Please keep in mind, that at this Congress the Constitution and By-Laws can not be changed, except if the Congress decides about amendments with a 2/3-majority. At this Congress in Austria election of IPF officials and Committee Chairmen take place. Please forward your candidates to the General Secretary latest 15. August 2007.- Detlev Albrings
2) Referee registration for 2008-2011 is due by January 1, 2008
Note from Robert Keller; As a kind and gentle reminder, if you're an international referee, in order for you to renew your IPF Category I and II credentials, referees are required to have at the minimum, at least four [4] National or International Powerlifting Championships between 2004 - 2007. Please contact either Bill Clayton or myself, if you have any questions regarding re-certification of your credentials. Bill and I would like to have all of the applications to the referee registrar by October 01, 2007
