News Letter 10/9/06

The October issue of Powerlifting USA is now out. There is lot of good stuff in it!

Scott Weech Jr is interviewed. Scott competed in the 100% RAW's National Powerlifting Championships in August and squatted (805-3rd attempt) 825 lbs on a fourth attempt setting an 100% RAW National and World records at a body weight of 306 lbs and competing in the 308 weight Class at the age of 21.

Paul Bossi , President of 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation shares his "Reverse Pyramid Method" for bench training.

Dr. Spero Tshontidikis, Founder-100% RAW Powerlifting Federation, writes the summary of this past summers National Chapionships and submits the results of the National Bench Press and National Powerlifting Championships that were held at the Double Tree Hotel (Universal) in Orlando, Florida this past August. Photos are included!

Results from the USPF Nationals are included in this issue. A number of photos from this meet are included in this edition. There are also some photos posted at the USPF Forum of long time member Courtney Stanley.

Also, coverage of the USAPL Seniors Nationals and Bench Press Invitational has been included in this issue. Dr. Patrick Anderson files the summary and pictures.

AAU News:
Results from the 2006 Junior Olympics has been posted. Competition included Powerlifting. This event was held in Hampton Roads, Virginia. The 2007 event is scheduled to be held in Knoxville, Tennessee.

AAU Events has been nominated for the 2006 Sports Travel Award.

ADAU News:
The ADAU has released their 2007 schedule.

APF News:
Mike Sweeney has released the Oct 3rd Newsletter. In it he has announced the roster for the upcoming WPC Worlds and WPO Semi finals (click on xls, read only). This dual event is scheduled to be held in Lake George, New York beginning November 2nd and ending on November 5th.

IPF News:
Final Results from the 2006 Master’s World Championships have been posted. Congratulations to all the athletes and the IPF!

USAPL News:
Congratulations to the U.S. World's Master's Team for a very successful trip to the 2006 IPF Master's World Championships competition that were held last week in Killeen, Texas.
