At New on the IPF Web Site, the IPF Media Newsletter, November 2006 has been published and posted. This months edition includes a review by Robert Keller and John Stepenson of the IPF World Master’s Powerlifting meet that were held in Killen, TX earlier this month. IPF president, Norbert Wallauch promotes the new IPF magazine “The International Powerlifter.” Robert Keller provides a summary of the recently competed and 1st Annual, NAPF Bench Press Championships. In it he highlights that there were no “bombs” and that “a very high percentage of the attempts were made by the lifters-71%” which “should serve as notice to those who feel the bench shirt is the cause for the high rate of bombs.” Interpol and WADA has teamed up to “fight cheats” and have committed to working together in “combating the use of performance-enhancing drugs.” In discussions between UNESCO and WADA, it has been agreed to cooperate together in the implementation of the International Convention against Doping in Sport, adopted by UNESCO. Robert Keller announces the 1st NAPF Championship of the Carribean Islands Powerlifting Championships that will take place in Oranjestad, Aruba during March 2007. And, Detlev Albrings gives a brief introduction to the upcoming IPF World Men’s and Women’ Powerlifting Championships in Stavanger, Norway.
